TRAFFIC ADVISORIES Currently in effect on county roadways
Ocean Heights Avenue - Egg Harbor Township
On Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4, a detour will be in effect in the southbound lane of Ocean Heights Avenue in Egg Harbor Township between Steelmanville Road and the Patcong Creek Bridge, 7 AM – 5 PM, weather permitting, for county road work. Northbound traffic will not be impacted.
Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Police will be on site to assist.
Delilah Road, EHT
On Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5, an alternating lane traffic pattern and/or lane shifts will be in effect on Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township, between English Creek Avenue and the Atlantic City Expressway 9 West on-ramp, 8 AM – 4:30 PM, weather permitting, as part of the county’s road resurfacing project.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction area and to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.

Fire Road and Old Egg Harbor Road, EHT
On Tuesday, June 2, lane closures will be in effect at the intersection of Fire Road and Old Egg Harbor Road in Egg Harbor Township , 7 AM – 4 PM, weather permitting, for county road work.
Motorists may experience minor delays and are advised to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Police will be on site to provide traffic control.
Marine Advisory - Dorset Avenue Bridge, Ventnor
Effective April 23 through June 1, the Dorset Avenue Bridge in Ventnor will remain in the closed-to-navigation position to help reduce exposure of bridge operators to COVID-19.
During the closure, the bridge will open on signal at 2 AM, 4 AM and 6 AM as long as at least two hours notice is provided to (609) 909-7200.
The vertical clearance of the bridge in the closed-to-navigation position is 9 feet above mean high water. Vessels able to safely pass through the bridge may do so at any time. The bridge will NOT be able to open for emergencies. The Beach Thorofare and West Canal may be used as alternate routes for vessels unable to pass through the bridge during this time. Mariners should exercise caution when transiting the area.
Cotton Mill Bridge, Mays Landing
Beginning Monday, March 23, Cotton Mill Bridge in Mays Landing will be closed to all traffic until further notice for a full bridge replacement. Route 40/50 will serve as the detour route. Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Businesses on Main Street and Mill Street will remain open, unless otherwise impacted by COVID-19 closures.
