Atlantic County Animal Shelter Offers Adoption Fee Incentives

Beginning December 15 through the end of the month, the Atlantic County Animal Shelter is waiving the adoption fee for all dogs 25 pounds or more.

In addition to finding a new companion, becoming a dog owner can provide opportunities to stay active and start the New Year on a healthy foot with increased walking and outdoor activities.

The shelter also provides a year-round 50% discount on dogs and cats available for immediate adoption as well as senior pets. Veterans who adopt a pet receive a 50% discount.

Regular adoption fees are $110 for dogs and puppies and $85 for cats and kittens and include mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation. Adopted canines also receive two free obedience classes.
