The results are in! The Feed the Dream to Fight Hunger food drive held throughout county government offices January 17-31 collected 1,600 lbs. of food and toiletry items that were donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. The drive was held to honor the memory and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In addition to donations from county employees and visitors to county offices, students from the New Jersey Youth Corps also participated as part of an annual service project. The New Jersey Youth Corps is the county’s out-of-school youth program that is located in the Atlantic County One Stop Career Center in Pleasantville. The One Stop Career Center was one of several collection sites during the two-week event.
