Walk for Wellness and Prevention on Saturday, June 7

Atlantic County residents and visitors are invited to Walk for Wellness and Prevention on Saturday, June 7, rain or shine, from 9 AM to 1 PM.

The event will feature a 2-mile walk on the Atlantic County Bike Path adjacent to the Harbor Square Mall, formerly Shore Mall, in Egg Harbor Township.

Dozens of area vendors will provide displays, information, activities and giveaways. Free health screenings will be offered as well as healthful food samples. There will be physical fitness demos, cancer screening information, substance abuse prevention and smoking cessation resources, interactive booths, face painting, kids' activities, raffle prizes and more.

The first 200 individuals to register will receive a free gift bag. There is no cost to participate. Register online at www.aclink.org where you will also find a list of participating vendors.

The Walk for Wellness and Prevention is sponsored by the Atlantic County Division of Public Health, Cape Atlantic Coalition for Health, and the Atlantic County Alliance for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
