Local residents can stand up and step out to promote healthy lifestyles and show their patriotism at a community health walk on Tuesday, June 17. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors to this exciting event scheduled for 3-6 pm at the Pleasantville High School track on 701 Mill Road. In addition to the health walk, participants will enjoy free health screenings, prizes and refreshments.
"This is a great opportunity for residents to connect with their community, promote healthy lifestyles and support our troops," explained Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson.
The health walk is sponsored by the Pleasantville Partnership for Healthy Adolescents, Pleasantville Board of Education, Pleasantville Family Center, Pleasantville Weed and Seed, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, AtlantiCare Health Systems and Atlantic County government.
