Methamphetamine Safety & Awareness for First Reponders

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New Jersey Division will be conducting a one day seminar on Methamphetamine Safety and Awareness for First Responders. This training program is designed to prepare the police officer, firefighter, or EMT to recognize specialized problems and hazards associated with the production of methamphetamine. Topics which will be covered will include History and Effects of Methamphetamine, Emerging Trends in Methamphetamine Production, and Clandestine Laboratories Awareness. The objective of this course is to enable the first responder emergency personnel to be able to recognize and identify a methamphetamine or clandestine laboratory while answering a fire, medical, or other emergency call and apply techniques for overall safety.

National Curriculum Incident Command System (ICS)For Executives

ICS for Executives is an ICS orientation for executives, administrators, and policy makers. It provides a basic understanding of ICS, unified and area command, and multi-agency coordination to those persons responsible for establishing or implementing policy, but who normally are not a part of the on-scene ICS organization. This module also will discuss responsibilities and information transfer between Executives and Incident Commanders.

National Curriculum Incident Command System ICS-300 (v2019)

ICS-300 course focuses on ICS for supervisors in expanding incidents. ICS-300 outlines how the NIMS Command and Coordination componet supports the management of expanding incidents as well as describes the incident management processes as prescribed by ICS. This course has a threaded activity that will give students the opportunity to practice implementing the incident management process and create an Incident Action plan (IAP) for a simulated incident.
