This course is intended to provide a forum to discuss the agency’s strategic and executive level preparedness and response issues and challenges related to WMD/terrorism and other incidents of national significance. It is also intended to serve as a vehicle to share proven strategies and practices as well as enhanced teamwork and coordination among the agency’s senior officials responsible for emergency response to a major incident. It will be conducted as a facilitated workshop and will integrate multimedia scenarios and vignettes that highlight the key issues and facilitate discussion

Introduction to Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations (CAMEO) provides training on the fundamental elements of the CAMEO Suite of programs as they relate to emergency situations. It includes detailed technical information and hands-on practice of critical elements of the CAMEOfm system and its associated programs (ALOHA, MARPLOT, LandView and Tier II Submit). Participants are provided opportunities to practice key procedures that allow users to enhance planning and response activities associated with community risks.

This course addresses all responsibilities appropriate to a Planning Section Chief (PSC) operating in a local-or state-level All-Hazards Incident Management Team. The responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) managing the planning cycle and 2) tracking resources and incident status. The course is an instructor-lead training that supports learning through discussions, lecture, and active participation in multiple table top exercises. The terminal learning objective of this course is to prepare participants to demonstrate, through exercises and a final exam, an understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Planning Section Chief on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT)

The response teams and volunteer groups play a key role in protecting our residents during these events. This program will discuss methods and techniques for team leaders and managers to employ during emergency operations to not only respond appropriately but maintain harmony while supporting the responders.
