Basic Internal Affairs Investigation - Law Enforcement Solutions, LLC

Basic Internal Affairs Training is a three-day course developed for county and municipal police departments. The course will provide comprehensive instruction in all aspects of the internal affairs function and the Attorney General’s Internal Affairs Policy and Procedures. Basic School Resource Officer Course

The Basic School Resource Officer Course is a forty-hour block of instruction designed for any law enforcement officer with two years or less experience working in an educational environment. A law enforcement officer in this liaison position is commonly referred to as a School Resource Officer. The course emphasizes three main areas of instruction: functioning as a police officer in the school setting, working as a resource and problem solver, and the development of teaching skills. Attendees will be given a working knowledge of the School Resource Officer concept and how to establish a lasting partnership with their schools. Officers are required to attend all sessions in order to obtain the National School resource Officer Basic Course Certificate. There is a written examination, multiple discussions, and at least one graded practical exercise for each student.

Beyond the Cones- Risks and Responsibilities of the Roadway (LIFELINE TRAINING)

Most officers, commanders, and risk managers view the police crash as “the cost of doing business” and an anticipated cost of a departmental budget. However, crashes and “traffic incidents” are more than numbers on a page and line-items on a spreadsheet. Officers are killed and seriously injured everyday in and around their squad cars. Beyond the Cones examines these phenomenon from both a financial and human perspective. It focuses on solutions to reduce deaths, injuries, and the high cost of property damage. Bicycle Training for Law Enforcement

This course will properly train Police Officers for bicycle patrol. Officers will learn safe bicycle operations, laws governing bicycles as vehicles, nomenclature, riding techniques, defensive cycling, nutrition, fitness, basic repair and maintenance. Officers will demonstrate, upon completion of the course, competency through practical application of basic riding skills and a written examination from the International Police Mountain Bike Association. Body Fluids and Trace Evidence

This is a two-day program with the first day devoted to body fluids and the second to trace evidence. The first program considers types of body fluids and how the investigator might collect and analyze these. Topics to be covered during this session include: (1) scientific basis of body fluid examination; (2) blood and bloodstains and their collection; (3) seminal stains; and (4) other types of fluids such as saliva, urine, and fecal matter. The second day provides discussion on such trace evidence elements as hair, textile fibers, paint chips, glass fragments, and gunshot residue particles. Topics in this segment include: (1) trace evidence associated with clothing; (2) recovery of the clothing of the victim; (3) cloth fragments and impressions; (4) threads; (5) fibers; (6) hair; (7) soils, rocks, and minerals; and debris. Body Language In the profession of Law Enforcement communication is constant. As humans we are constantly displaying our intent through our nonverbal communication, which can comprise 70% of all communication. This class trains law enforcement, military personnel and professional security to identify signs of an impending attack. Cell Block Management & Suicide Awareness

New Jersey Department of Corrections Cell Block Management and Suicide Awareness Training for Police Municipalities, Academy and In-Service. Course Description: Pursuant to the State of New Jersey Administrative Code Chapter 34: Municipal Detention Facilities, and for the proper safety and security of detainees, the Office of County Services provides training on Cell Block Management and Suicide Awareness. These two instructional units combined are taught by PTC Certified NJ Department of Corrections County Services Staff at Municipal Police Academy’s in NJ, as well as In-Service Training for Municipal Police Department Staff. The lesson plans are PTC approved. The course runs approximately 3 hours in duration for the coverage of the two instructional units in there entirety.
