Atlantic County public works crews are out today to re-apply salt and continue plowing operations on the nearly 375 miles of county roadways following Saturday’s blizzard that dropped more than a foot of snow in many areas of the county.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution on roadways and stay well behind salt trucks and snow plows. Many secondary roads may still be snow covered. It is also advisable to leave a safe distance between vehicles while traveling. Residents are also reminded of the NJ State law that requires motorists to remove snow from their vehicles before they venture out on roadways.
County facilities that were closed yesterday due to the snow are expected to reopen on Monday. Free COVID-19 testing will resume as of tomorrow in Galloway at 421 Chris Gaupp Drive, 7 AM – 5 PM and on Tuesday in Atlantic City at the Carnegie Center, MLK Blvd. and Pacific Avenue, 10 AM – 5 PM.
