Atlantic County Deploys Staff and Resources to Regional Mega Site

As of March 5, the Atlantic County Division of Public Health will complete the administration of second dose vaccinations at Atlantic Cape Community College. Its resources and staff are now being deployed to the regional mega site at the Atlantic City Convention Center, operated as a partnership of the state, county and AtlantiCare.

Vaccinations at the mega site are by appointment only. Those who live, work or go to school in New Jersey and meet the current state-designated eligibility criteria may register at vaccination.atlanticare.org or call the NJ Call Center for assistance, 8 am – 8 pm daily, at 855-568-0545.

Those 75 and older who need assistance in finding vaccination appointments may call the NJ Senior Hotline at 856-249-7007, 8 am – 8 pm daily.

Public health officials are aware of the difficulty many people are having in finding available appointments due to the demand-supply imbalance. The one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been approved for emergency use and provides a third vaccine. New Jersey is receiving 70,000 initial doses.

All individuals, whether they have been vaccinated or not, are encouraged to continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings, wash hands frequently, and avoid touching their face and eyes.
