Atlantic County Veterans Museum to Reopen July 29

The Atlantic County Veterans Museum is re-opening as of Wednesday, July 29 and will be open to visitors each Wednesday through Friday, 12 noon to 3 PM, until further notice.

The museum has implemented precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All visitors and staff are required to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the building. High-risk individuals can reserve a time to visit between 9 AM and 11 AM, Wednesday through Friday, by calling (609) 909-7305.

“We recently reopened our library branches and we are now able to reopen the Veterans Museum, which provide enjoyment for our residents and visitors and serve as important community resources,” said County Executive Dennis Levinson. “We’ve implemented protocols to help ensure the health and safety of our patrons and we appreciate the public’s cooperation.”

To maintain the 25% occupancy requirement within the museum, a maximum of six visitors will be permitted entrance at one time. To maintain social distancing requirements, visitors will be provided a self-guided tour booklet upon arrival. The booklet will be theirs to keep.

No group tours will be scheduled at this time and the museum is currently not accepting any artifact donations (e.g. uniforms, medals, etc.). All visitors are required to enter through the ADA entrance, which is located at the back of the building.

The museum officially opened in June 2017 and is located at 189 Route 50 South in Mays Landing. The entrance is a 1/4-mile south of Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor on Route 50.

For more information, please contact the museum at (609) 909-7305.
