No New Covid-19 Deaths for Third Day; 17 More Positives

No additional deaths related to Covid-19 were reported today, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health, the third consecutive day without a fatality.

Seventeen residents did test positive. Seven men, ages 22-71, and 10 women, ages 29-71, were confirmed within the following locations: five in Galloway, three in Pleasantville, and one each in Absecon, Atlantic City, Brigantine, Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township, Hammonton, Linwood, Northfield and Ventnor.

Today’s cases bring the countywide total to 3,418 residents who have tested positive for Covid-19, of whom 1,911 have been cleared as recovered and 229 have died.

Atlantic County will continue to provide Covid-19 testing on Tuesday, July 28 at its drive-thru facility in Northfield at Rt. 9 and Dolphin Avenue, behind the county public works yard. The test site is now available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.

If available, appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel no less than 24 hours in advance so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

A list of additional testing locations in Atlantic County is available at: https://www.atlantic-county.org/covid/additional-testing-locations.asp
