Forty-seven more county residents have been cleared as recovered from Covid-19 for a total of 1,552 of the 3,035 who have tested positive to date, according to Atlantic County health officials.
That cumulative total of positives includes 22 confirmations received earlier today in four men, ages 25-60 and 18 women, ages 18-84 with locations as follows: seven in Egg Harbor City, four in Egg Harbor Township, three each in Hamilton Township and Hammonton, two each in Atlantic City and Pleasantville, and one new positive in Galloway.
There were no additional deaths reported today. Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 210 Atlantic County residents.
County health officials encourage residents and visitors to follow the recommended federal and state guidelines to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 by wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and hygiene protocols such as frequent handwashing and disinfecting common-touch areas, as well as isolating yourself if you are sick and have symptoms of Covid-19 or respiratory illness.
Atlantic County will continue to provide Covid-19 testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, July 7 in Northfield behind the county’s public works yard at Route 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue.
