Vehicle Parade to Thank Healthcare Workers in Absecon
On Monday, June 29, the Atlantic County Veterans Services Office, in cooperation with local veterans organizations, will be providing a vehicle parade beginning at 2 PM to express thanks to the healthcare workers and staff at Preferred Care nursing and rehabilitation facility at 1020 Pitney Road in Absecon as well as the 10-member VA Strike Team, which has been sent to supplement and assist the facility in its efforts to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.
The local veterans organized a similar event this past Memorial Day for Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northfield that included approximately 200 vehicles.
