Sunday, June 21: No Deaths but 53 New Covid-19 Positives

No deaths related to Covid-19 were reported in Atlantic County on Sunday, June 21, however, county health officials did confirm an additional 53 residents who have tested positive for the disease including 40 males, ages 17-60 and 13 females, ages 7-58.

Twenty-five of today’s confirmations were identified in Hammonton, 19 in Hamilton Township, three in Galloway, two each in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township, and one each in Pleasantville and Somers Point.

Today’s confirmations bring the countywide total to 2,782 residents who have tested positive with 1,373 having been cleared as recovered. Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 191 county residents.

Since April 9, Atlantic County has tested 2,068 residents with symptoms for Covid-19 at its own testing locations, of whom nearly 76% have tested negative.

Atlantic County will continue to provide testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, June 23 in Northfield behind the public works yard at Rt. 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments are available 9 AM – 11 AM and can be made online at www.aclink.org.
