One More Death and 33 New Covid-19 Cases, June 7

Atlantic County health officials confirmed the death of an 89-year-ol Margate woman due to complications from Covid-19 on Sunday. Officials also reported 33 more positive tests for the virus among 12 males, ages 8-74 and 21 females, ages 25-97.

Nine of the most recent cases were identified in Atlantic City, eight each in Hammonton and Pleasantville, two each in Egg Harbor Township and Northfield, and one each in Egg Harbor City, Hamilton Township, Linwood and Somers Point.

A total of 2,428 county residents have been confirmed for Covid-19 with 1,107 cleared as recovered. There have been 170 deaths.

Atlantic County will continue its Covid-19 testing on Tuesday, June 9 by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. 

Testing is conducted between 9 AM and 12 noon behind the Public Works yard in Northfield at Rt. 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.
