The Atlantic County Animal Shelter invites you to celebrate Earth Day by rehoming a shelter pet. The shelter is waiving adoption fees for a number of dogs and cats that are ready for immediate adoption, April 20-23.
“In recognizing Earth Day, we encourage those looking for a faithful companion to consider the pets in our care for adoption,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson.
The selected pets have all been spayed or neutered and are identified by a card that reads ”Can Go Home Today,” according to Kathy Kelsey, Shelter Manager.
“We have a variety of animals in need of loving homes. Some have been displaced or surrendered, but all have been properly screened, socialized and vaccinated to ensure the best match possible,” Kelsey said.
Residents who take advantage of this Earth Day promotion will save $110 for a dog and $85 for a cat, the normal adoption fees.
Shelter hours are 1-4 PM daily except on Tuesday when the shelter closes at 3 PM.
