Adopt A Shelter Cat Month - Free Adoptions

The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is waiving the $85 adoption fee for cats and kittens during the month of June in celebration of June as “Adopt a Shelter Cat Month.”
 

The shelter has a wide selection of felines of various ages and temperaments that are already neutered and available for immediate release to eligible adoptees. The public is invited to visit the shelter during normal operating hours, 1-4 PM daily except Tuesday when the shelter closes at 3 PM.

“In addition to adorable kittens, we also have senior cats, cats with special needs, and adult-bonded pairs of cats that typically have a more difficult time finding forever homes but make wonderful companions,” said Kathy Kelsey, Animal Shelter Manager. “They are some of the animals we hope will benefit most from this promotion.”

Shelter adoptions include mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation.
