Honey bees and other pollinators are vital to keeping fruits, nuts and vegetables in our diets as well as contributing substantially to our local farm income and national economy.
Gary G. Schempp, a South Jersey beekeeper and farmer, will discuss the importance of the honey bee, its life cycle, honey production, pollination and other bee facts at the next Atlantic County Parks and Environmental Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, April 6 at 7 PM at the Canale Training Center, 5033 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township. Honey tastings will also be offered.
