Heroes on the Water - September 14

The Atlantic County Division of Parks and Recreation will host 30 military veterans for a day of fishing, camaraderie and relaxation on Lake Lenape during a Heroes on the Water event on Sunday, September 14.

This is one of 10 such events in New Jersey. Heroes on the Water, a non-profit organization supported by donations, supplies each participating veteran with all necessary equipment and a personal guide. Safety instructions and lunch are also included. There is no fee to attend.

“This is a great opportunity for our veterans to enjoy this beautiful lake and park,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. “We support our veterans and appreciate the efforts of Heroes on the Water to honor them in this manner.”
