Bring Your Kids Out for Local Celebrity Readings

Take a break from the summer sun and join the Literacy Committee of the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board for a little reading fun on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Uptown Complex in Atlantic City to celebrate National Literacy Day!

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson and Miss New Jersey Jennifer Farrell will read excerpts from their favorite children’s books and all will receive free ice cream. In addition, the first 60 kids who attend will receive a free book from the Governor’s Book Club to include: Old Black Fly, Young Cam Jansen and the Double Beach Mystery, A Jigsaw Jones Mystery: The Case of the Bear Scare, Tuck Everlasting and Over in the Garden.
