Atlantic County residents are invited to a free heart health seminar, featuring Cardiologist Medical Director Dr. Howard Levite from the Heart Institute of the Atlantic City Medical Center, on Thursday, June 19, 6:00 - 7:00 PM, at the Pleasantville Recreation Center, 400 W. Brighton Avenue, Pleasantville.
Dr. Levite will discuss heart health and the benefits of walking such as reducing the risk of heart disease and controlling blood pressure. Dr. Levite is a highly distinguished surgeon and researcher who is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease Internal Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. He holds degrees from Yale University and Washington University School of Medicine.
The seminar, provided by Step Out Atlantic County in cooperation with Rutgers Cooperative Extension, is offered as a community service to help improve health and promote fitness among residents of all ages. Those who attend will learn the importance of a regular exercise routine that can easily begin with walking.
