Community Forum To Focus on Health in Atlantic County

Just how healthy are Atlantic County residents? Residents, community leaders and service providers are invited to find out by attending a Community Health Status Forum on June 19, 8:30 - 11 AM at Atlantic Cape Community College (room M111A), 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.

In addition to providing a detailed summary of public health in Atlantic County, County Executive Dennis Levinson said the forum will serve to identify vital resources and essential information for those who are interested in improving the health of county residents.

The Partnership for a Healthy Community will present information, advice and a program tool kit that targets the county's top health priorities based on the results of the 2001-2002 Community Health Needs Assessment, a comprehensive research project designed to assess the county's health status and prioritize improvements.

The forum is part of the Partnership's ongoing effort to track local health trends and develop programs to improve health throughout Atlantic County. Reservations are requested by June 12 as seating is limited.
