Levinson Nominates Ralph Morano to Ethics Board

Ralph Morano of Hammonton has been nominated by Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson to the Atlantic County Ethics Board.

"I am very pleased that Ralph has agreed to serve as a member of the Atlantic County Ethics Board. He is a man of honor and integrity. He is also familiar with local government and is highly regarded. I have no doubt that he will carry out his duties in a competent and impartial manner," Levinson said.

Morano is currently Vice President of James Morano & Sons, Inc., one of South Jersey's largest paper and cleaning supply wholesale companies. He previously served as a Councilman and Mayor in the City of Hammonton and has been active in community service organizations.

Freeholder James Curcio, whose district includes Hammonton, stated that he was very pleased by Morano's nomination. "The County Executive continues to fulfill his promise to the western end of our county. I applaud the nomination of one of our most respected citizens to this prestigious board," Curcio said.

The Atlantic County Ethics Board is responsible for receiving, reviewing and investigating complaints related to possible violations of the County Code of Ethics or financial disclosure requirements. The Board has broad powers and may render advisory opinions to county officers and employees and issue subpoenas related to matters which they may be investigating.

Morano's appointment will require the advice and consent of the Board of Freeholders.
