More than 300 area Girl Scouts will participate in an informational scavenger hunt during the 15th annual Showcase of Services to be held on Sunday, April 14, 2002 at the Hamilton Mall from 11 AM to 6 PM. The scouts will be asked to obtain information from among more than 70 local human service providers featured at this information and referral event.
"Showcase of Services provides a wealth of resources under one roof," stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. "In addition to providing useful information to customers, it offers participating agencies a wonderful opportunity to network. I encourage you to support this worthwhile effort."
Numerous county offices will also be participating, including the Division of Consumer Affairs, the Office of Mosquito Control, the Division of Intergenerational Services and the County Library System.
Another highlight of the event will be the presentation of the 2002 Golden Link Award to the individual from the human services community who best demonstrates excellence in the coordination of services and sharing of resources on behalf of his/her agency.
Showcase of Services is sponsored by the Atlantic County Inter-Agency Council in cooperation with the Hamilton Mall merchants. For more information, please visit the county web site at: www.aclink.org/showcase or call 1-800-982-7587.
