NRA Basics of Personal Protection in the Home (For Range Members ONLY) Time: 6:00PM

We are again offering the NRA Course, Basics of Personal Protection in the Home. This is a two session class. Session 1 will start on Friday evening at 6:00PM and will run until about 10:00PM. Session 2 will start Saturday morning at 8:30 am and run until early afternoon. Students MUST attend BOTH sessions for a completion certificate. The evening session will include topics such as low light shooting techniques and the use of a flashlight. Prerequisite: This course is for LAW-ABIDING ADULT citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm). Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, ACFTF F.A.S.T Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment. Description: This course totals a little more than 8 hours with the two sessions combined. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate. Required Equipment: Handgun 100 plus rounds of ammunition Flashlight Eye and ear Protection Appropriate dress for the weather If possible, bring your home storage device so we can replicate your situation and you can practice retrieving your firearm in a realistic set up. As always, we recommend you bring a light snack and drink. Cost $80.00 per person.

F.A.S.T. for Handguns FRIDAY NIGHT (FireArms Safety Training) Time: 06:00 PM

This class replaces the NRA First Steps Course which has been discontinued by the NRA. PLEASE Arrive early to complete Range Paperwork. Course BEGINS Promptly at 6:00 PM The F.A.S.T. course for Handguns provides a general overview of the handgun. The course includes our range orientation. It will also provide operation information on the shooters specific handgun. The participant will learn general firearms safety and participate in a live fire exercise with our instructors. This course is required for all new members before they are permitted to shoot on the pistol range. The cost is $40. You will need note taking materials, your handgun and at least fifty rounds of ammunition for this course. You will also need ear and eye protection. Junior members who are at least twelve but under the age of 14 are restricted to 22 caliber firearms. A certificate of completion will be presented to each student who successful completes the program. **** Please Note **** Seating is Limited**** If you reserve a seat and fail to appear by the start time of the class, your seat may be reassigned to a walk in student. Please notify the range as soon as possible if you expect to be late.

USBR - Rimfire Rifle Match Time: 10:00 AM

USBR INTERNATIONAL RIMFIRE MATCH Match fee: $10 for 3 Targets. 10:00am Start. arrive 20 minutes prior to match You must be a member of the range, and have taken the First Step Rifle Class. Course is shot @ 50 yrds. First shots promptly @ 10am You'll need .22 Rimfire Scoped Rifle , 100 rounds of .22 and a TWO piece rest (sandbags) USBR Matches held here at ACFT the weight/stock style and scopes are OPEN All Range rules apply. While we'll shoot this match according to USBR rules, (you can google them to familiarize yourself) these matches will be geared to a relaxed setting and to to the NEW shooter. Plenty of guidance will be available. Come out for a FUN day, with like minded people and hone your bench rest skills!! Please allow about 2 hours for the entire match. You have 20 minutes to shoot each of the 3 targets, you'll need to score and repost targets and then there's always some boviating to be done, and that all takes time. See you then !!

Intermediate Pistol (Range Members Only - Must have sucessfully completed Basic Pistol first. Time: 08:30 AM

This two day class builds upon the Basic Pistol Course. You must have completed the TWO DAY Basic Pistol Class to participate in this class. Shooters should be mentally and physically prepared for a demanding range session. Class is taught from a law enforcement prospective using the range firing techniques taught in a basic police academy recruit class. Cost is $80.00. Equipment needed for this course, Handgun and a duty style holster, two extra magazines or speedloaders for revolvers, eye and dear protection, 350 rounds of ammunition, a bagged lunch and water bottle. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF the TWO DAY BASIC PISTOL IS REQUIRED BEFORE PARTICIPATION IN THIS CLASS Materials required : Eye Protection Hearing Protection Modern semiautomatic pistol (preferred) or double action revolver. Spare magazines minimum 3 or speedloaders Holster - must attach firmly to belt and cover the trigger. Magazine / speedloader pouch Minimum 400 rounds of ammunition Note taking materials. Clothing suitable for outdoor environjment.

Bowling Pin Match Time: 9:00 AM

Come On Out and try our Bowling Pin Match. YOU MAY ARRIVE ANYTIME BETWEEN 9:00am and 2:00pm TO SHOOT the matches... $10.00 Match fee Gets you five tables of pins. You'll be shooting for time with any pins left on the table resulting in a 10 second penalty. We throw out your worst time and average the remaining four. Any shooter who wants to shoot the course more than once may do so by simply paying another match fee. Match procedure rundown is posted on bulletin board at range. This match is for center fire pistols only.
