Old New York Road, Port Republic
Until further notice, Old New York Road in Port Republic will be closed to all through traffic between Main Street and Pitney Road near the Nacote Creek Bridge, for emergency stormwater sewer replacement work.
Motorists should follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Update - Westcoat Road, EHT/Absecon
Westcoat Road in Egg Harbor Township has been reopened to traffic between Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township and Mill Road in Absecon, following the completion of roadwork by a private developer.
Tilton Road, Galloway
Beginning Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29, Tilton Road in Galloway will be closed between Route 30 and Aloe Street, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, weather permitting, for curb and guide rail work adjacent to the bridge. Businesses within the work zone will remain open but access will be impacted. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
On Tuesday, March 26, the northbound and southbound road shoulders will be closed on Tilton Road south of Bally Bunion Drive, 7 am – 3:30 pm, for installation of silt fence. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
On Friday, January 26, at approximately 9:30 AM, weather permitting, and following the reopening of Bevis Mill Road, a year-long detour is scheduled to go into effect onSomers Point-Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township between Steelmanville Road and English Creek Avenue for reconstruction of bridge EH-29.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Beginning on or about Wednesday, January 24 (following the reopening of Bevis Mill Road), Somers Point-Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township will be closed to traffic between Steelmanville Road and English Creek Avenue for reconstruction of bridge EH-29.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. The detour is expected to remain in place for approximately one year.

The New Jersey Mycological Association will lead a mushroom (fungi) foray in Estell Manor Park. The foray is sponsored by the Atlantic County Division of Parks and Recreation and is free and open to the public. NO registration required. Participants will learn what fungi are, their role in the environment, and basic characteristics that are needed to identify genus and species. Field guides will be available to assist in identification.
All identified mushrooms will be returned to the park surroundings. Unidentified mushrooms will be taken for further examination by NJMA. Participants may request an email list of the fungi that are collected.
