Mill Road, Absecon

Beginning Monday, October 2, Mill Road in Absecon will be closed to traffic between the White Horse Pike and Wescoat Road, 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, for county road and bridge improvements.

The roadway construction will extend from the railroad overpass to just north of Stewart Lane and include drainage installation, utility replacement, sidewalk repairs and road resurfacing.

The bridge refurbishment will extend from just south of Stewart Lane to Wescoat Road and include superstructure repair and reinforcement, abutment repair, installation of new guide rail, and reinforcement of embankment.

The Mill Road detour is expected to remain in effect for approximately three months. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours or seek alternate routes. Police will be on site to assist.
