Basic Holster Course (7/1/2018), Basic Holster Course This course is designed to teach you the basic fundamentals of the use of a Hip mounted holster. This course is instructed in the classroom with range time. This Course covers; (1)The proper placement of the holster on the hip (2) Proper draw of the handgun (3) Proper presentation to the target (4) Proper re-holstering of the handgun (5) Basic fundamentals of re-loading Our main emphasis is on Range Safety and shooters ethics towards their fellow range users. Course length is; 4-hours (depending upon student participation) Cost of the course is; $25.00 Course is open to all modern handgun, 38/9mm caliber or above, however no single action or black powder cap & ball revolvers. Must have at least 3 magazine/speedloaders 200 rounds of ammunition required. Must have retention holster proprietary to your firearm with proper gun belt, make sure your belt fits into your pant belt loops. Equipment required; (1) Student will need to bring 200 Rounds of ammunition for their handgun. (2) Must have retention holster proprietary to your firearm with proper gun belt, make sure your belt fits into your pant belt loops Strong stable belt capable of supporting holster and firearm (3) Extra Magazines, Magazine pouch or revolver ammunition pouch (4) Suitable Eye and Hearing protection (5) Base Ball style cap Restrictions; (1) No Shoulder, ankle, cross draw or Inside the pants holsters. Belt or Paddle type ONLY! (2) No flip flops or sandals (3) Clothing must not restrict the draw of the handgun from the holster (4) Do not wear clothing that will expose you to hot brass being ejected from the handgun during the live firing portion of this course. Class participant must pass a final performance test before being awarded holster use Certificate
