Beginning at 7 AM on Wednesday, July 5, the north sidewalk of Dorset Avenue Bridge in Ventnor will be closed to pedestrians for county bridge work. The sidewalk is expected to reopen by 4 PM.
This work will not impact motorists or bridge functionality.
On Tuesday, June 27 through Friday, June 30, an alternating lane traffic pattern will be in effect on Sixth Avenue in Galloway between Route 30 and Ridgewood Avenue, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM daily, weather permitting, for county mill and paving work.
Side streets will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Sixth Avenue but accessible from 4th / 5th avenues and 7th / 8th avenues during this time.
Motorists should proceed with caution through the construction area as some uneven payment is expected.
Motorists will likely experience delays and are advised to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
On Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30, a detour is scheduled to be in effect, weather permitting, on Old Harding Highway in Hamilton Township between Mill Road and Weymouth Road, 7 AM to 3:30 PM daily.
Access for property owners and emergency vehicles will be provided. All other motorists should follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.
Access to Lake Lenape Park will be available from westbound Weymouth Road.
On or about Monday, June 26 and continuing for 2-3 days, an alternating lane traffic pattern is scheduled to be in effect on Mill Road at the intersection of Old Harding Highway, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Effective Friday, June 2 and continuing for approximately 30 days, a stop and go / lane shift traffic pattern will be in effect on Shore Road/Main Street at various locations between Poplar Avenue in Linwood and Mulberry Avenue in Pleasantville, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, weather permitting, for work by South Jersey Gas Co.
Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist motorists, however, delays will be encountered. Motorists are advised to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Please note, the following information has been provided to Atlantic County by the NJ Department of Transportation regarding a current project that may impact county motorists.
Beginning January 27 through the summer of 2017, a lane shift will be in effect on Route 50 in Tuckahoe between Mosquito Landing Road and Route 49 for the state’s replacement of the Tuckahoe River Bridge between Upper Township in Cape May County and Corbin City in Atlantic County.
The bridge will remain open to motorists with one lane and a temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic.
A special truck detour will be implemented for both northbound and southbound trucks.
